How to, "Be At Your Best", for Your Matric Exams

Matric, final year students

To all the Matrics,

The next few weeks might be some of the most significant weeks of your life. It’s a time to reflect on all the work you’ve done over the last 12 years—the lessons learned, the hours spent studying, and the tasks you’ve accomplished. (And the tasks you never got round to do) You’re almost at the finish line, with just one last hurdle before you close the chapter on your school career.

It’s completely normal to feel stressed and anxious during this time. There’s a lot at stake, but remember that ReleaseSCE™ is here to support you. To ensure you're in your best shape for writing exams, here are a few key areas to focus on:

1. Sleep, Hydration, and Nutrition

Your brain needs rest to function at its best, so get enough sleep - at least 7-9 hours a night. This is particularly important the night before your exams, as proper rest consolidates memory and improves your ability to focus.

Drink plenty of water throughout the day to stay hydrated and fuel your body with nutritious food. Stay low on sugar, as it can negatively impact your concentration, memory, and mood.

For the best results, consider adding ReleaseSCE™ products to your routine. We've seen amazing outcomes from students who use them during exam periods. Take two Forte capsules every night to "fertilize" your brain, improve your sleep quality, and assist in processing information.

2. Use the Pomodoro Technique for Studying

The Pomodoro Technique is an effective way to manage your study time. Work for 25 minutes, then take a 5-minute break. During your break, step away from your desk - go to the bathroom, and make a cup of tea or coffee (but keep sugar to a minimum it messes with your blood sugar and your glucose levels). If you need a snack, chew on biltong, nuts or any protein snack as it helps sustain energy and focus. Drink cold water as much as possible.

3. Morning Exam Routine

Start the morning of your exam with a quick 10-minute workout. This could be skipping, trampolining, or even a dance session, anything to get your blood flowing and energize your mind and body.

For breakfast, eat a good source of protein, like eggs, which helps support brain function.

Take 1 Forte and 1 Advance capsule (or 10ml of Advance Syrup) after breakfast, at least an hour before your exam. This will ease your anxiety, improve memory, and prevent memory blanks while increasing your processing speed.

4. Pre-exam Relaxation

Thirty minutes before your exam, take a moment to relax. Drink cold water to hydrate your brain and do deep breathing exercises to calm your nerves and focus your mind.

Good Luck and know That You Can Do This! We trust in you and are so proud that you have come this far!
